Katrina Kaif will feature in yet another Prakash Jha film - Aakarshan, which additionally headlines Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgan.

May 01, 2010, (Sawf News) - Katrina Kaif continues to bag important roles consolidating her standing in Bollywood as a favorite amongst directors, both because of her professionalism as well as her across the board appeal as a new generation Indian woman.

She will feature in yet another film by Prakash Jha, her Rajneeti director. The film - Aarakshan - additionally headlines Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgan.

Aarakshan (reservation) is set in a north Indian city. It deals with the sensitive and controversial issue of job reservation, epitomized by the violence that followed the implementation of the Mandal commission's recommendations to reserve a large percentage of jobs for the backward class.

In the film, Bachchan reportedly plays a character inspired by his father, the illustrious Harivansh Rai Bachchan, as a college principal. Ajay Devgan plays his favorite student, who belongs to a backward class and supports the job-reservation.

Katrina, who plays the Principal's daughter, is paired with Ajay.

Prakash Jha is directing the film for Feroz Nadiadwala production, to fulfill a promise he made to the producer 10 years ago.

Filming is expected to commence later this year in Bhopal, a city Jha loves and where he lensed Rajneeti.
